He has never eaten vegetables in all the time I have known him (17 years) because they give him a terrible upset stomach. I worry because I know that veg is pretty much the most important food nutrition-wise and even though he is not in dire straits at the moment I am scared his not eating veg will catch up with him and make him unwell. It is not possible for him to eat them, or even drink veg juice to compensate because he cannot handle the stomach problems he gets when he does. What I want to know is what should he do about this? Is there some other thing he can have to substitute veg? Will anything bad happen to him? Also, if there is anyone out there who is in the same boat and cannot eat veg, what do you do about it?

Please get your step father to look at these symptoms of Stomach cancer:

Indigestion or a burning sensation (heartburn)
Discomfort or pain in the abdomen
Nausea and vomiting
Diarrhea or constipation
Bloating of the stomach after meals
Loss of appetite
Weakness and fatigue
Bleeding (vomiting blood or having blood in the stool)

However, many of these symptoms are more often caused by other medical conditions. It is important to consult a physician to find out what is causing symptoms.

Hopefully this is not the problem, but i do recommend you consult doctor about this issue.

Note: A temporary way to get the vitamins and minerals could be suppliments or tablets.

I would say this is a question for a gastroenterologist - someone who specializes in stomach and intestinal problems. I'm wondering if he is a person who responds by creating so much stomach acid that he becomes ill, in which case some of the proton-pump inhibitors might be helpful. Either way, he should definitely see a doctor; vegetables are definitely important in one's diet.

Never heard that before. All vegetables? Wow.. Hopefully he has visited a MD regarding this one. Could be psychosomatic. Maybe as a kid he had an aversion towards veggies. He could get a serving size.. 1/4-1/2 cup size of veggies..

steer away from energy in a pitcher. Scientists now understand that the body does not sign in liquid energy interior a similar way it does sturdy energy. ingesting a grande caffe mocha, case in element, gained't make you sense satiated the way ingesting a bowl of pasta will. which signifies that regardless of the indisputable fact that the caffe mocha quite has a much better type of energy than the pasta, you're nonetheless better probably to decide on a 2d cup from Starbucks than yet another plate of linguine. So demonstrate screen your intake of juice, soda, espresso beverages and wine. in case you devour one among each and each of those beverages in the course of the day, you'll have taken in a minimum of 800 better energy via evening -- and also you ought to nonetheless be hungry.
