i am distressed by the way life is changing for us all. things do not seem to be getting any better, in fact all i can see is that it is getting worse. Poverty, hunger, wars, reality TV, fast food greed, globalisation of brands, the ineptitude of governments, the weakness of the United Nations, the hatred of human against human, whether it is religion or race or colour of their skin. After centuries, the human is still a stupid beast that does not learn from the mistakes of the past. We live our lives in self contained bubbles, in a culture of fear, consumerism and false hope. We watch and read media drivel that is manipulated and censored, we are told what is important, we are not fully informed to what is really going on around us. We follow the herd, like sheep to the slaughter, believing everything and nothing. we are not living in a free society, we pay taxes on everything we need. We are forced to work in inane and ridiculous jobs that only serve the needs of those who always want more money and power,we work, to pay the bills and buy the things that in reality we do not really need... but when is enough truly enough? why do these faceless people (who are in charge of the world's business and possibly governments as well) always want more? why do they feel the need to fill the world with corporate branded product? why do they want the power? what will they do with this power? why do we tolerate this? why do i tolerate it? why do you?

First and foremost the United States of America is not a Democracy, it is a representative Republic.
Secondly, failure of an administration does not mean the system has failed it merely indicates the failure of an attempted policy.
In example; In 1976 Jimmy Carter was elected president. His econmic ploicies led to Dbl digit inflation, interest rates and unemployment. His foreign policy convinced other countries that the US was weak and Iran took some of our people hostages and demanded that we return their former ruler to them for execution. In one of the few moments of showing any back bone Carter refused to do this. However, even though the SHah died in the interim the Hostage takers refused to let our people go.
In 1980 the self correcting system elected Ronald Reagan and these problems went away.

Not a failure of the democracy, however a setback, even a shadow of a doubt of free, open and honest elections is a bad sign for democracy, however it is like the pendulum on a clock, it swings left and right. That I hope is what happened and it has swung to its extreme right and will now swing back toward the middle. It does counter balance over a period of time. I believe in democracy and while I wish the George Bush had never happened it has and we need to deal with it.

The democrats and the re-nigging- republicans are perfect examples of a failed democracy. Our economy is better then ever, people from all walks of life are living better and making more money than ever. President Bush is trying his best to look after our safety while putting more money in our pockets along the way. Remember a politician looking to be re-elected is not looking after our best interests they only try to paint us a drastic picture of all the past administrations failures while not giving any accomplishments credit at all. Remember 9/11 people and all the Dem's that voted for this war and ask yourself what would they had done if in office when this terrible tragedy happened in our borders.
