If you have a filter on your oil tank change the element. Filling an empty tank can stir up crap from the bottom. After that, find the "bleed" screw on your burner. Bleed the air out. If none of this work look for other obstructions in the lines. Did the line get pinched or kinked anywhere? Good Luck! I grew up in Maine...we occasionally run into fuel supply problems with oil burners. DEPENDING ON THE TYPE OF FILTER, YOU MAY HAVE TO FILL IT WITH HEATING OIL BEFORE INSTALLING OR CLOSING IT UP.
P.S. Turn the valve off before removing the filter! hehehe

Oil Tank Lock

Did you loosen the bleed screw and bleed it into a coffee can or something small like that with a small piece of tubing?
It is a small hex nut with an opening facing out that bleeds thru the little port when it is loosened. It is on the side of the pump next to the other oil ports. Once you get a stream of oil out of it, close it and the burner should light.
Also-the inline oil filter may need replaced. It may be clogged and preventing full suction from pump.
There is also a small screen inside the fuel pump cover that may be clogged. If you replace the inline filter regularly, that should be fine.
There are several other things to check but I would check these things first.

KISS, (keep it simple stupid) Pipe Stranglers right, start with the simple solutions first and this seems like a case of balancing the system. To quickly test the theory turn off the trv's to all but the cold rad if it gets hot fine,; turn the trv's fully back on and close the valves at the other end of the rads, open them just sufficiently for them to heat up; it may take some time to get the balance right.

Doesn't sound like air-lock, sounds like sludge, Try to flush the lines with a non combustible solvent, Disconnect both ends of supply line and try to clear...........Oil gets thick and jells at low temps....Good Luck..

You need to vent the Tank, open the inlet valve a bit. But there should be a Vent on top someplace probably clogged up.
