The answer is not to shut them out - the answer is to integrate them with society

That being said, I say we bring 'em all over to the US!

wow some one with a brain. the only thing that will solve this problem in reality is to give back all land to the palestinians who owned it before all the jewish people started migrating there. after all it is their land. i say this if the us government refuses to give back the land that was stolen from the mexicans and native americans we have no right to go into a muslim country and tell them that it is jewish land because they had it over a thousand years ago. this is ruthless and rediculous. i believe that jews should have a right to live in the holy land just like any one else. after all it is the birth place to all the monotheistic faiths. my proposal for israel is this. the palestinians get their land back but the government is run equally by jews, muslims, and christians. each have their own courts. but they all must come to a decision together on what the common law of the land should be. in lebanon when the british tore that country to peices many years ago they made a lw where the president always has to be chrsitian, the prime minister has to be a sunni muslim and the third guy has to be a shia muslim. seems like a good system how ever i do not think that it should be any religion that is designated to be the ruler of a country. the jews are just as much religious extremeists as the muslims and christians are when it comes to the holy land. no other land on earth has had more blood shed for it. it is time that the world wakes up and respects the rights of others no matter who you are or what you believe. "the right to live" if there was a true democracy in israel then the palestinians would still rule it considering they are still highest in number even with all the migrations. israel does not follow the un resolutions implemented. this is a well known fact. until the rest of the world stays out of this and the country is reorganized this problem will only worsen.

The reason behind the wall is to further restrict the movement and livelihood of the Palestinians. They have separated families and are attempting to completely cage in the the Palestinian people in hopes that they will leave Palestine altogether. Another result that is not so well known is the further expansion of illegal settlements. The Israeli government has once again taken more land by clearing up to 12 miles on the "new Israeli side" of the wall where new Jew only settlements are being built. Not only is the wall an open act of apartheid against the Palestinians, but as you point out, we as American taxpayers have financed it.

The answer to the first question is "no" and the answer to the second question is "it won't." The only thing the wall does do is give Israel more security and more chances to annoy the decent Palestinians (obviously I'm not taking about the ones with Hamas or who want to blow up Israel) who simply want to go to work and they made the mistake of not realizing that Israel would build a wall between their home and their job. Plus, now that the cold war is over and there isn't the threat of Soviet influence with Arab countries verses the US and Israel, the US needs to begin to realize that Israel needs us more than we need them (The Israelis knew the opposite was true during the cold war, which is why an attack was carried out against the USS Liberty). Therefore, it's time to start using our aid to influence the peace process... Not that I think only Israel is to blame... the Palestinians have way to many problems to start listing here... but this question was aimed at Israel, hence my rant.

The question could be if the blockade of Gaza have been lifted and the area grew to become into given to the folk as an self sustaining united states of america could they stay in peace with Israel as a neighbor? Their previous habit has shown that they does not. They have been allowed to vote for their very own government and that they chosen to be sure on the Revolutionary Organization 17 November of Hamas who has vowed to break Israel at any value to steer them. this does not instruct any willingness to stay in peace. Peace interior the area heavily isn't carried out till the two aspects somewhat lose interest of the death and violence and are available to a determination that's extra sensible to stay in peace than to be suited.

Of course not.Building walls will only make the problem worst.
Ignoring the problem won't make it go away. The Palestinians are there whether the Israeli government likes it or not,and by making a big prison to keep them there won't make them disappear...
