It is supposed to be a interface that you can hook into a remote start and you can call it from your cell and start your vehicle. I can not find any specifics on it. I mainly want to know if there is a monthly service fee involved or is it a one time cost. I know that there are other features involved with it that you do get charged for but I dont know if you are charged for just starting your car.

Sounds possable imagine you call your car and some one has already stolen it? And after stolen you call it and get a busy signal? Exploding smoke canisters with pink dye to coat the thiefs. I would call Crutchfield and ask the auto security expert. Isn't a regular remote control start good enough? And I would expect your car will need a cell phone device to receive the signal thus service charges. Celluar tracking would be possable then.
