As an American who has traveled a bit and talked to the people it seems we sometimes come across as arrogant. That could be part of it.

I personally think the world hates us because of how we have acted these last few years. Our country refused to get the permission of the United Nations before entering war. This aggrivated several countries. The UN is there for a reason...the fact that we didn't listen and did our own thing didn't look good. We have lost several allies due to this. I have traveled to several countries and the natives always say that we are "bullies" and "full of ourselves".

I think most people judge all Americans by the few hateful tourists that come over there. There are always people that travel to Europe and think they should get special treatment because they are from the US. I saw a lady i France try to pay with American money then got agry when they wouldn't take it... I won't even repeate the profanities she yelled.

I always just tell people i'm from Arkansas and know Bill Clinton lol... Europeans love Clinton and in turn love me lol i've never had any problems.

Americans are hated in many parts of the world mainly because of their cultural and social insensitivity. Also at play is the American cultural imperialism which really gets up a lot of people's noses. Most Americans are really nice people, but many of those who those who travel abroad as well as American companies are so insensitive and arrogant to the way things are done elsewhere as well as being ignorant of almost anything outside of the US that the locals and governments get really incensed. Then on top of that is the American government, which dictates to foreign governments and thinks it knows everything when in reality it knows very little.

Americans are not hated by anyone. But their government's policies are not accepted by most of us. They want to maintain superiority on others. Among the Americans you can see - about 75% of the population is against their activities outside America. Iraq or Afghanistan, Iran, Syria or any issue belongs to outside world. You can see the processions in America against their actions. Why GW Bush and his party has lost the recent election?

It does no longer-- our flesh pressers are so out of contact with the reality of existence that their determination making features have thoroughly disappeared. the options our authorities is making don't have to any extent further some thing to do with the betterment of the yankee and each and every thing to do with authorities administration, skill grabbing through particular persons and the reason to ruin us of a and our economy. that is sparkling, Obama does no longer like the structure - he thinks it’s a document of “unfavorable liberties” telling the authorities in common words what it would want to’t do somewhat than spelling out what the authorities “could” do for you. So is it any marvel that this guy has the regulations, philosophies and acquaintances that he does. that is “We the human beings” who will settle on the course and course that us of a takes. on the instantaneous apparently that we've a collection of politicians in place of work who do no longer like the Capitalistic, loose marketplace equipment that made us of a tremendous. They somewhat favor a Nanny state setup the position the authorities makes all of your judgements for you and likewise promises “monetarily” for you as well - in different words they pick you to be thoroughly depending on them for all of your needs. each and every thing Obama says and does has a tinge of Socialism or Communism. All of his regulations, all of his speeches and all of his appointees and Czars. Obama needs the authorities to regulate each and every thing and he needs absolutely everyone depending on the authorities for his or her needs. Obama, interior the little while he has been president has effectively destroyed the Democratic celebration through going so a strategies left that even the hardcore liberals are aghast at what this freak is doing. It develop into once that the authorities had assessments and balances interior the experience that that is the Democrats vs. the Republicans and the argument of liberalism vs. conservatism - yet no longer does this argument exist. The argument is now State-ism vs. Capitalism, Socialism vs. Freedom and Totalitarianism vs. the yankee way (as written through our founding fathers). What has got here about? How did this transition happen? even as did this transition happen? the unlucky answer is the trash politics of Obama and the **** roaches he has dragged into the White domicile with him. o_O

we don't mind our own business. We use our strong economy as a cudgel to get governments to do what we want. We are ego self-centric and self serving. Even though we portend to help other countries and people because it is the right thing to do, we do it to increase our standing in the eyes of the international and even domestic communities. People hate Americans for one simple reason, they think we have to much power. No body likes feeling like an inferior. Thats my view.

I honestly don't know. Probably our government. On the same note, why do so many people from other countries come here to live?? Some risking their lives to come here.

I suspect it's a combination of jealousy and arrogance. Then again, American 'culture' and all of its problems are being exported to places where it is ... less than appropriate.

It is the power and influence the United States holds that is resented.

The number one reason why we're hated is because of our Tex-a** president. And the Iraq war.
