I have noticed that the younger generation seems to be getting married and having children extremly early. Many get engaged by the time there a sophmore in high school. The whole focus on college and careers seems to be gone. That is only my opinion... I may be wrong. I can only see the younger people in my area.
Oh and that emo thing confuses me lol. I'm only in my 20's and I still don't get it. I have a general concept of the movement... I guess its just very different from what my generation did.

The future generation do fall in love earlier, and are having families At a young age. Most of these kids have grown up in front of TV's and it seems they're concept with reality is a little distorted.
As far as education, I see the trend of not really respecting an education..It seems more of a have to..like a chore to them.
I also think he cost of college is a really big factor. So many kids now have to either work while in college or wait to attend due to the cost. Even with excellent grades.
I might be in the minority but, I have made sure my son knows his education is VERY important..there is no slacking off. He enjoys school, I am not a slave driver and want him to do his best, thats is all I expect. But, I also know when he's pulling my leg too.

As part of that future generation, sure that happens, but not to everyone. This generation has the highest high school graduation rate and college graduation rate of ANY previous generation, because education is more important (and difficult)then at nearly any time before.
As for love, that's their choice. Plenty of kids now have parents who married or even had kids early in life, there's nothing different about that. Plus this generation is a lot more liberal, that's just how things are.

well, honestly I am almost 18 and shocked that I can name about 6 people my age or alittle younger who have had a baby, got pregnant then aborted and so fourth and I know alot of them do drink and all that because the lack of anything positive or exciting to keep them from this behavior. I am going have 6 siblings from my dad he was 4 currently who are all 10 or younger and his new gf is 19 weeks pregnant with twins. I am rambling on again and probably got off point again and lost my train of thought so later.

Boys and girls should be kept apart until the age of 21 and told nothing of love.

im not sure how i feel about that...but would it really be that bad of a thing that people are actually loving each other instead of just caring about their career's and school? money can't buy happiness.
