You need to keep in mind that although they're important to the story, they aren't really unique. It would be like saying, "why didn't Bob recognize the blue Honda Accord in the parking lot as the one he owned 20 years ago." Darth doesn't really have direct contact with them in the story, so they probably just look like a couple of droids. Not to mention the fact that a droid can have its memory erased, so even if he knew who they were, they wouldn't really be a threat so he really wouldn't care.

Well if I had 2 guess, maybe that in the Star Wars Universe there are Hundereds & thousands of different druids. Most are mass produced more than likely by the Millions and Billions. Also the way some of the sceans dipict how most feel about druids is that there are less that a pet but more than a pest. Like a toaster, microwave, or TV. So why would Vader give a second glance at every or any druid he comes accross.

Exactly! I wondered that myself, how could he not know who they were but he knows who his son and daughter are?
Conversely would c3po and r2d2 know him?

Probably after he got burned, he forgot a lot of his past. Good point, though. That was an OOPPPSS in the movies.
