Before it snows its always cold... but how come it never feels as cold when its snowing? I've been asking everyone.... anyone know why?

A: the blanket effect: when you cover something, it holds in the heat.

Moisture in the air.
The lower the temperature the less moisture is in the air.
In extremely cold air the moisture content is so low that not much so snow making material is present.
Sometime when it"s cold you can still get snow but it is very fine and hard,compared to big damp flakes.

I think the cloud cover that is essential for the production of snow acts as an insulating layer in the atmosphere and prevents what heat there is escaping.

its usually around 1 to 2 c when it snowing that is just the ideal temp for snow to fall so yea your right it does warm up slightly from the temp just before it snows darling then it usually drops after the snow has fallen and there lying snow i hope that makes things a liittle clearer to you darling its the simplest way i could explain

The clouds insulate the earth and prevent the heat escaping, hence the snow.

Thats why a clear night sky in summer can be very cold..if it was cloudy it would be warm

when it snows the temperature has to be around zero - this is met. condition. so even if it was -5 before when it starts snowing it will be around zero.
later temp may drop again or rise

for it to snow warm air meets cold air, which creates a reaction in the right atmospher for it to snow

Or ure to busy runing round in it to care if its cold or not !!!

because of the cloud cover, and the air density when it snows.plus when it snows you put your coat on and that warms you up .
