why is it that when there is a disaster such as a tornado ,hurricane ,etc they will not allow the home owners in to check their homes and belongings but they let the news media in to look and prowl through peoples belongings? i think this is insane

They don't want the home owners to get hurt. They figure if someone from the media gets hurt it serves them right for being so damn noisy
