We come across such instances in the society, when kids grow up & go out of their places in search of a job or even for studies, and they more likely get a match of their choice & then wish to marry them. It is a common scene in the society. But don't you think that this situation will lead to a 'No Belief/Faith in the society after considerable change of generations in a family/community. Will it not finally erase the customs & traditions from our country & we will be a No culture society in the long run. In a broader sense it will finish the identities of Indians? Are intercultural, interreligion, intercommunity, interracial alliances not speeding it up? Should there be an open diccussion between the yeter yrs' people & the young people for a balanced & culturally rich growth of our society? will it help us ?

children have the right to decide for themselves what they wish to believe in. it will not remove culture and tradition as this can be perfectly independant from religion and is in fact formed because of how humans are biologically. forcing children to believe in a particular faith or brainwashing them is the other option, but this is clearly wrong. as parents, you can simply discuss with your children why you believe what you do, and they can then form their opinions based on their own evaluation of this.

I welcome such a development, where people get a opportunity to have marital relationship with persons from other communities and cultures. Intermingling of communities and cultures is the only answer for all our social evils, like untouchability, communal violence, regional rivalry, religious bigotry etc. It is a step in the right direction. Integration of the society, in the literal sense, will pave the way for amity and peace in the society. This in no way lead to dismemberment of our cultural identity. No doubt, in the past Caste was serving the purpose of preserving the cultural values. In the modern times, when castes disintegrate, culture will hopefully be grown and preserved in the family traditions. By contracting marriage with a person from other cultures, one should not give up his responsibility to care the parents. The parents will adjust to the new members into the family, albeit from a different background. In a fast changing world, every member of the society has to make some adjustment and compromises, without however not compromising on the fundamental value system. Love and affection should remain the corner stone of all our relations.

It is every persons right as they grow to find their own identity. It would be nice in some cases if they held to some of the values, customs, and traditions of their parents but times change. People change. Even the churches and governments change so evolution is inevitable. Certain things survive others fade away. We just hope it's the positives that thrive. While you may question that intermingling is speeding up cultural decay so to speak, I think it's broadening it. There is nothing wrong with mixing two unalike things together. Often times it's good. Sounds silly but think of a peanut butter cup. It's good to have a broad understanding of what is in the world and incorporate those things found beneficial into ones own life. I can't see it in any way leading to the no belief/faith conclusion you refer to. There are people that are always going to find it necessary to put their faith in something intangible and others who won't. It's always been this way. Furthermore saying we would become a no culture society is inaccurate in my opinion, we would simply become a different cultrue. It's a good question and open discussion never hurts, but no matter how much it's talked about change is inevitable in all things.

Religious beliefs what we get to learn today are not what were actually designed in the early days. A lot of manipulation has come into picture. Like the caste system was designed for proper workflow management of the society and not to discrimanate. But we held on to the negative side.

However talking about culture and ethics, better to follow them as they are part of the wisdom imparted to us. We respect people because that's in our culture, we enjoy donations cos that's our culture, we lvoe to be in a crowd and still find our own identity cos that's our culture...

Children need to respect there parents beliefs and teachings. However they must develop there own that they can stand on.For it is the basis of there own lives. A mate should be the agreement of both families. otherwise it is off to a bad start.
