People have collections like cars, pictures, almost anything.Is this a habit all people do and not realize it?

I have a 'problem' and I have too much stuff so I'm trying to not actively collect anything anymore. I did collect certain CDs, LPs, coins, books, found old photos of other peoples families, postcards, pins/badges, WWII Nazi crap, sheep related items, cat stuff, antique bottles, vintage purses, coats and hats
I still work on the sheep collection because my mom buys me sheep stuff for every holiday. I have sheep sheets, socks, pajamas, stuffed animals, calendars, figurines, jewelery, etc..

I collect memories. I get these memories when I take my wife, our son, my wife's sister, her two kids, and the fiance of one of the two kids (he is 21), my son's three best friends (all are 15) and their 3 moms, in a van, when we ALL go together in 2 vans to places like Disney, Universal, Busch Gardens, for 1-3 days. We go every 2-3 months. Once a year, we go for 2 weeks to places like Tennessee, Smoky Mountains, etc.

I collect memorabilia from the 50's, from I Love Lucy, and from James Dean.

I guess I have more books and CDs than anything else, but I try not to collect too many trinkets. I have trouble enough staying organized without too much clutter, so I try to minimize it.

i love garfield and homer simpson so i have a lot of things.
whenever i see something of garfield or homer i immediately go to see and if theres a way i can use it so i feel justify to buy it. i have so much junk in my house its insaneee so to add to it its not good either.
for me im not sure if it is a habit, its because i like this 2 so if i see it i want it. i do realize it and thats why i stop before i buy, i try not to buy things i dont need.
but what can i do... i love garfield and homer!!!!!

I collect many things. Business cards is one of them, and I also collect milk crates.
