Every country has major challenges in agriculture practices. Some are just more fortunate than others. I work in agriculture (vegetables) and I can tell you that we are plaqued by calls in developing countries asking us to take our product there (good clean, tested product) and show them how to grow it. Happens at least once - three times a week we get these calls. US and Canada are the only countries that are truly ahead of the world in agriculture. But then again, we have on-farm food safety practices.

Only problem we in North America face with helping with challenges in developing countries is that if we show them how to grow and maintain well produced agriculture products, how to store these afterwards, who's to say they won't take over certain areas of the world that we already dominate.

Ask China about potatoes, and Algeria too. Cuba and the Dominican Republic about several different vegetables and you can see for yourself that they need help too.
