lexus, when put on a lift side by side you can see where lexus got it's research however the quality of materials, actual execution (these are much more service friendly cars so will and do have lower repair costs) are so far above mercedes current offerings that they shame themselves. a added bonus value all the lexus electronics actually work and will continue long after the car becomes old and it will still be leak free nice driving quiet and comfortable car (all mercedes can get out of a drivers seat is 100k miles then the springs and cushions give up. suspension bushings last about 170k avg. i have not had to repair or replace these on any lexus.all this and less expensive too.
THE COPY IS STILL BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL

The Lexus for a general manufacture is better. However Mercedes E and S class are by far better made.

Mercedes is nicer looking but a Lexus is good too. I would probably take the Mercedes.

They are both good, high quality cars. However, as with BMW, Mercedes have a low, medium and top range. A Lexus, as with other good cars, is not comparable with a top of the range Mercedes Benz.

Having driven both and many other vehicles, I would say no one else builds a car that drives like a Mercedes and very few build a car as reliable as a Lexus.

Mercedes is better, Lexus, witch is owned buy Toyota, just had half a million vehicles recalled this month.

Simple, The pope, every King or Queen alive now or during the XX century, most heads of state and most of us have Mercedes, Rolls Royce, even Cadillac. No toyotas, no nissan, no matter how much you dress them up.

lexus are getting a further addition to their reputation of value for money when you see all the gadgets etc in them.
mercs (some) last forever although thay are always owned by taxi drivers.

lexus because same build quality and spec for alot less money and you will find it a lower insurance cat
