My truck makes a clanking sound, Is it possible its my water pump going up?
it doesnt do it all the same but when it does I can hear it and almost feel it on my feet. kinda like something hitting the bottom of the car.

I would check the U-joints. On level ground set the emergency brake and put the truck in neutral. Crawl under the truck and grab the drive shaft and turn it back and forth. You should be able to see if there is any play in the ujoints (cross shaped pieces at each end of the drive shaft). If your not comfortable doing that take it to a repair shop and have them check it. And do it first thing today because if that is your problem and the ujoint goes out you will be stranded and your drive shaft may go tumbling down the road.

does it do it an idle? when a water pump is going bad the seals will leak or the bearings go bad . take an extension from a socket set at least 18 in long and put it on one of water pump bolts. it should get louder. it will work on the whole pully system be careful where you put the extension

it is definitly not your water pump when your water pump is going you will hear a squealing in front of engine then the water will start leaking around the bearing

take belt off see if pulley has aany play in it if it does the pupmp is bad or if you water coming out of the seep hole its bad but what you are describing sounds like something else

i will adventure to guess.
U-joint.damage( if that is the reason please fix it ASAP)

I hope is only something, from the road ,stuck on you vehicle
