Hard question...

Is there any way you can detatch the tube? If so, do that.

Get some place ready where the hamster can fall if it comes out (a towel, or something like that!)

Gently bang the side of the tube a bit above the hamster. Make sure that it is not shaking too much.

This is my only reason, sorry! I cannot think of any more quite now.

I would NOT wait for it to loose weight, because then it could starve and have serious medical problems!

the first thing you should do is detach the tube from the rest of your cage setup then lay a towel down on like a table. Because most tubes can be split apart so you can clean them, try to open the tube and let the hamster fall onto the towel.

If this dosn't work try to pry the tube open a little so the hamster can lossen itself and crawl out.

if that dosn't work pray.

my gerbil got stuck in a very small tube, and it was quite hard to get him out. we could tell he was having trouble breathing, but he didn't make a sound the whole time! first, i took a hand saw and litterally cut the tube as close to the gerbil as possible (don't get more then two inches close to his face, or you could have a headless hamster). once we were close enough, i reached in as far as i could to pull him out, and he came out rather slowly, but he was okay. because you have a hamster, i would reccomend cutting down the tube, and then pushing him out as carfully as you can. and make sure that if he does come out, he lands somewhere confined, because he might be angry. good luck!

oh no! If you can reach some fur, can you gently tug to see if that will unwedge? Push? Detach as much of the tube as you can to get to it. Sometimes if they just calm down they'll be easier to get out.
If too much time passes, take tube with hamster to vets!

maybe try breaking the tube open. Or bring the whole thing to a vet and see if they can help.
