I have a friend who is on Outlook Express and for some reason my emails and some other of her emails seem to be going directly into her deleted box, without them even having been opened. Is there anyone out there who can help. We are OAP's and our children keep telling us this just cant happen, but it is.

When you find the email in the delete box highlight it by clicking it once. After highlighting it - click the 'message' tab at the top of outlook express....in the menu that opens click, 'create a rule from message'

In the menu that opens go through the choices until you find a choice that is right for you.

What she needs to do is add your e-mail to her address book - this will tell Outlook that you're not a spammer.

Although... I wonder why you're using Outlook. Because it's "just there" or did you actually compare it against the alternatives and choose it?

I, personally, find Thunderbird very good - like Firefox (an Internet Explorer alternative) it has add-ons that add extra functionality. Like being able to download Yahoo and Hotmail e-mails without having to pay for the Pop3 access.

Thunderbird also has a spam filter that actually learns what you like and don't like, you can add in ad blocking, you can change how it looks with Themes, and more... all for free!

Feel free to check it out. There are others, of course...

Most of the Outlook Express error messages are due to problems with the internet connection, not the software on your computer.

it maybe that your computer classes them as junk mail and instead of putting it in your junk mail box its going straight to the deleted box.im not sure how you change this setting but thats what it sounds like
contact technical support they will go through how to change it with you
if you are unsure of how to contact your technical support ring your internet provider they should have the number
