Kevin Federline recently apologized about the commercial that shows him in a music video but ends with him actually daydreaming about the whole thing while working at a fast food restaurant.
National Restaurant Association President and Chief Executive Steven Anderson said last week that the ad amounts to a "strong and direct insult to the 12.8 million Americans who work in the restaurant industry."

Would you really be offended by this if you worked at one of these businesses?

I have seen the commercial and found the ending very funny. (About the only good thing about the commercial...since I am not a fan of K-Fed or that music)

I think he is a real ***.

I've worked hard to get where I am. In the long ago past I did work briefly in a fast food restaurant. I was lucky, because I was in school and did it to earn some quick cash. Some of the people I worked with weren't so lucky. They took buses in from bad neighborhoods because it was the only job they could get, and they needed to keep food on the table. They could have been out causing trouble like many of their peers, and I always respected them for taking the higher road.

From my perspective, those people weren't sinking to the bottom, they were right at the top and I'll never forget their determination to make a better life for themselves.

I am offended, but I feel much better knowing that he will quickly fade from the public eye due to lack of intelligence and talent.

I think it's absolutely ridiculous that people are offended by this commercial!!! There is NOTHING offensive about it!! I think this whole "I am so offended" thing has gotten waaaaaaaaaaaaaay out of hand!! Get a grip people...if you are offended by the commercial, then get a different job!!! Go to college, get a career, set your goals higher...or here's a novel concept: be proud of who you are and that you have the self esteem it takes to hold a job, no matter what that job is!!!

Good God! The poor guy can't win for losing.

Seriously. I thought the commercial was very funny (I laughed out loud!) and it was Self-Deprecating on his part. Therein lies the rub. He's deprecating himself and he's working in a Fast Food Joint. However, as most people posted...it's a job a lot of people have held when they were younger. (Me? Burger King in those awful polyester/ corduroy maroon pants.)

Give the guy a flippin' break already.

haha, no! Why would anybody be offended by that. Firstly working in McDonald's is not anybody's dream career, loads of kids work there anyway just while they are at school or college. Who wants to be Kevin Federline anyway! he's a laughing stock.

No. Unfortunately there are Americans bellyaching about something, somewhere, all of the time it seems.
When I was a teen, I worked in a fast food restaurant and was glad to have the job.

no!!! that is ridiculous!!! i havnt actually seen it, but i can imagin it would be pretty funny, considering i would take it that hes realised hes been unsucsesful in the music buisness, and now hes just like the other thousands of ppl who have normal jobs who have dreams and want to do better for themselves by becoming famous.

I think that the only ones who are truly offended by this are the people who realize that the only type of job they will ever have involve them saying "would you like fries with that"

yeah, I find K-Fed very offensive at all times.

seriously, the advert did give a slight message that flipping burgers was a dead-end job, the restaurant asociation doens't want people to know this or else they will run out of minimum-wage slaves to boost their massive profits.
