It is different for every woman. I personally knew within 2 weeks of conceiving (which meant I was "4 weeks" pregnant (never understood why they calculate that from the beginning of your last period!), because I started feeling queasy.
If you know when you ovulate, then there are test kits that can give you a reliable reading after 9 days. Contraception itself can take a couple of days after sex. The fertilised egg needs to travel and "implant". Once that's happened, then the hormones start raging.
Symptoms vary. Some have sore boobs, some immediately start feeling queasy, some don't until they're six weeks along, some never get it.
Some people don't have ANY symptoms at all (cows!! LOL).
My suggestion is, don't wear yourself out by trying to second-guess this thing. Relaxation will get you halfway there. Go on a holiday and get your mind off it. When I finally got pregnant, I tried to predict everything that was going to happen. This is the thing about pregnancy and parenthood, you can't predict ANYTHING! You're completely out of control, and that's frightening. So if that really scares you, go see someone and deal with control issues (like I did). In the end it was the best thing I could do. Feel free to educate yourself on the things that "COULD" happen. But understand that they probably wont!! Good luck. My wife found out she's pregnant 48hours after trying. The pregnancy test kit doesn't show 2 clear lines but THERE ARE lines. Luckily for us, the gynae said that we succeeded
