I felt my first baby move at around 9 weeks. I was very thin and very in-tuned with my body. It was amazing. I could especially feel her when I was taking a bath, it was like she was just floating around!

With my second pregnancy, I felt the familiar feeling at about 8 1/2 weeks. After knowing what they feel like, I immediately knew.

Congrats on your baby! I'm sure you'll be feeling the kicks and wiggles in no time!

Try laying on your side and rubbing and poking your tummy. The baby will react and start kicking back!

Everyone experience it at different times. I´m 19 and a half weeks and had been feeling my baby for a week now....

When should I start to feel my baby move?
You probably won't feel your baby kick until sometime between 16 and 22 weeks, even though he started moving at 7 or 8 weeks and you may have already witnessed his acrobatics if you've had an ultrasound.

Veteran moms tend to notice those first subtle kicks — also known as "quickening" — earlier than first-time moms. (A woman who's been pregnant before can more easily distinguish her baby's kick from other belly rumblings, such as gas.)

Your build may also have something to do with when you'll be able to tell a left jab from a hunger pang. Thinner women tend to feel movement earlier and more often than women who carry more weight.

What does it feel like?
Women have described the sensation as being like popcorn popping, a goldfish swimming around, or butterflies fluttering. You'll probably chalk up those first gentle taps or swishes in your belly to gas or hunger pains, but once you start feeling them more regularly, you'll recognize the difference. You're more likely to feel these early movements when you're sitting or lying quietly.

First baby about 18 weeks and second baby (had them very close together so muscles were wasted) 14 weeks. Some women dont feel anything up until about 25 weeks!! Im sure what you are feeling is the baby, over the next few weeks those feelings will become greater and you will not be in any question that its your little one!! Congrats on the baby!

I was well into my fifth month before I felt what I was sure the baby kicking. One day I was just sitting at the computer and felt what seemed to be a gymnist on the floor in my stomach! I was so excited and happy that I had my husband come lay his hand on my stomach immediately! He said it felt like a heart beat to him, but they were strong to me. Around the 4th month though, I could feel slight movement when I laid flat on my back on the floor (had to be a hard surface) and I would relax and take deep breathes and massage my lower abdomen (where the baby is) and I would feel fluttering. It's very hard to tell with your first though. You're not exactly sure what to expect. Try relaxing and stay very still and massage your belly... maybe the little blessing will wake up and give you a kick for disturbing his/her sleep! Good luck! God bless! :-)

In my first pregnancy I was around 22weeks and best way to get movement is in bath or lying on your side or tum in bed. The second time was at around 15 weeks and the third around 14. It does feel a little like wind moving across a bit but as they get stronger you cant miss them for anything else - enjoy your pregnancy x

I am at 17 (almost 18) week and I can feel the baby kicking. In fact my husband can feel the baby also. Try laying on your back with your feet up on something, that is when my baby kicks the most.

Hi, I am also 22 weeks pregnant and I feel my little girl move throughout the day they are just little thumps, not sure if she is kicking me or just shifting her body. I feel it alot stronger when i lay on my left sid and am kind of curled up. You should try this, Lay on your back and look down at your stomach, you will be able to see your little one move around from side to side and sometimes just a thump and you can see one side of your stomach jump up. It is so neat, Congragatulations and good luck!!!!
