This question is more a less down to personal opinion. But for me it Lampard. passing both just as good as each other - Attacking Lampard - Defending Gerrard Lampard has 240 career goals Yes ( 240 ) 200 for Chelsea - 39 for west ham - 1 for Swansea Gerrard is a long way down on 158 which is still extremely impressive for a CM. Lampard is the 4th all time premiership scorer on 163 no other midfielder is in the top 10 Lampard has more assists Lampard is more consistent, this is unarguable Lampard was runner up for ballon -dor Gerrard was 3rd the same year Lampard runner up for fifa world player of the year - Gerrard has never been in it. Lampard is the only player to reach double figure in goals in the premiership for 10 consecutive seasons Gerrard has reach this 3 times not consecutive. Lampard is a very good captain leading Chelsea to FA cup - Champion league success last season Gerrard is a better captain in my opinion leading Liverpool to FA cup and champion league success Lampard player of the decade for 2000 - 2009 according to official stats which includes all kinds of great player - Henry - giggs - scoles - gerrard etc both some of the best midfielders this country ever had. But in my opinion Lampard is the best and statically Lampard will always be better than Gerrard

If you're talking who IS the better player, then Gerrard by far as Beckham is now in the twilight of his career at the highest level.
It wouldn't be a fair comparison of who was the best player until after Gerrard finishes playing.

I agree with your choice Steven Gerrard is way better, Bertie D has all the statistics, but, what he is not allowing for is the fact that David Beckham is five years older than Stevie G, So really we will have to wait until Stevie G catches him up and see who is better then, I still reckon it will be Steven Gerrard M.B.E.

Steven Gerrard, no question. Beckham could score spectacular goals (but then Stevie G has his fair share) but you would never see Becks, in a backs-to-the-wall situation, grab the game by the scruff of the neck and personally take charge.
Stevie G's never-say-die attitude is what wins it for me.
And he's surprisingly articulate for a footballer (not talking about his accent, just his grammar and vocabulary).

Beckham is more interested in money than football.Look who he is married to for a start.another money grabbing b***h.He never really made it in Spain and he would not have made it back in England. He had his time and now its gone.Gerrard is what football is about. He is a club and country man.plays with his heart on his sleeve. If we had more players like him maybe England would achieve more.I know Rooney is a scouse but he is another Beckham in the making.Anyway going back to your question ,well its got to be Mr Gerrard , please note i am not a Liverpool fan sorry!

David Beckam

Current Club: Real Madrid (Spanish La Liga)
(joining Los Angeles Galaxy in summer 2007)
Previous Clubs: 1993–2003 Manchester United - 265 appearances, 61 goals

2003–Present Real Madrid - 95 appearances, 11 goals

Former England captain.
and as for Stevie "g" i cannot Deny that he is a damned good player, but put up against David Beckam then he loses. It is a close second but it is still a second.
