Loestrin 24?

I started taking loestrin 24 on the first day of my period. (it was the first bc I have ever been on) My dr and loestrin's websight both said that if I take it within the first 24 hrs of the first day of my cycle then I am protected. Does anyone know if this is true or not?

it is true but remember that there is no absolutes in medicine so you still want to try and use protection. Physical protective methods also prevent spread of STD's. good luck
