My brother has offered to do up a mini for me (he will be doing it himself), and I just want to know if its worth doing , how much it could cost... and if anyone knows what types of things will need to be done to make it better... we don't have the car yet and are still looking for one in South Africa (where we live)... if you can help.... THANKS

I've got a '65 mg midget and there are a lot you can do to it and the mini. They are a blast to drive, go for it, they are simple to work on and lots available for them. Find out if there are any mini clubs in your area, they can help you with advise and parts, members are always selling off stuff. Cost always depends on how far you want to take it, start looking into a high lift cam, better carbs, intake, electronic ignition, free flowing exhaust and headers. Then of course suspension, tires and brakes. Have fun with it!!

Not a direct answer to your question, but if you're looking for any bits for your Mini restoration, a good contact in Australia is www.agradeclassicparts.com.au. Guys name is Brenton. Found him very helpful and obliging.
