Not terrified, just amused and waiting on the ice age that was predicted by the same "experts" back in the 70's.

The UN panel (surprise, surprise) just released their report blaming human activity for the current warming trend. But, the media has glossed over the part where they also claimed there is really little or nothing we can do about it. Conservatives worry that agenda driven politicians will take steps that 1) do nothing that is really useful or helpfus, and 2) Place great burdens on the economy and people of the country. I personally favor a big effort to plant vast numbers of trees which would help reduce CO2 levels. Civilization cannot exist is its present form without energy production. Who out there is willing to return to a stone age life style when even that is a dubious solution at best? I'm willing to bet that the people ranting about the issue will be the last ones to give up their mansions and SUVs and private jets.

My heavens, I never have been flashed, but I did unintentionally flash a few folks once. I was in the hospital some time back and decided to take a stoll to the vending area. Well, I wasn't thinking about what I was wearing and, let's just say that those hospital gowns don't leave a lot to the imagination on the backside. The nurse came up from behind me and put a blanket over my shoulders . . . I was wondering why it was a little drafty back there!

Global climate change, and this is the last time I will explain, will absolutly not affect us for the next thousands of years. It's been happening since Adam and Eve. Can you explain why a lot of retired people are still moving to Florida? Will the extra weight sink Florida into the ocean? Believe nothing you hear and only 5% of what you read until you can actually confirm it.

Your logic exposes your beliefs. people are falling for a hoax again. remember after Katrina , all these experts warned of 10 dollar a gallon gas. What happened ? The liberals believed it and preached it. What happened 15 years ago when global cooling was professed across the world by the so called experts ? A hand picked group of people and a ex vice President should not control our thoughts of global warming. You have no proof that the government bribed anyone , other than from liberal news media.

I find it interesting that most of the other countries on this planet acknowledge global warming as a problem, as do about half of the population of this country. Scientists in several other countries, as well as many here, have found that we are contributing to global warming, yet we are supposed to always listen to scientists on the government's pay list?
So, I'm supposed to believe 150 Million... over 6 Billion? Even the U.N. says it exists, and is a problem. But then again, the believe who disavow global warming are also the ones who don't like the U.N.
Here's a though to ponder: Whether or not it exists, what's the harm in trying to clean up our environment. The only way we can lose is if we don't do ANYTHING, and it does exist.

They are really fed "facts" from the likes of Rush Limbaugh who is still in denial about global warming. He is their expert, not the scientist that have been measuring climate change over the last few years. I am sure that global warming is a natural occurrence also, but I do not see how that people can be in denial that humans are polluting and adding to the problem and possible moving things along at a faster clip. The severity of this change is probably determined by what we do about it now. Changes are needed and the few that are in this denial are hampering the effort. The thing of it is, they will not be the ones to pay for this. It will be their grand children and great grand children as this progresses.

It's not that we fear global climate change, it's that we don't believe all the fear police are spewing about it being man made.
Let me try to show you why I don't believe it.
Do you know that Yellowstone National Park has an enormous volcano. It's not your typical mountain. It's an underground magma chamber called a cauldera volcano. Last time it erupted (thousands of years ago), man almost died out. The amount of greenhouse gasses, ash, and debris that was sent out to the sky was unimagineable. Yet the ozone layer has healed.. So to think that by running our SUV's will cause the ozone layer to depleate is a little far fetched.

The same reason why some liberal folk are so terrified that global warming might not be caused by humans.
And by the way, simply repeating the phrase "global warming is caused by humans" over and over again in text books and agenda paid for scientific reports doesn't make it true.
It gets harder and harder to believe these studies when one decade you are told the sky is falling because of global cooling, and the next decade it's global warming. At least be consistent.
