The reactants are: Copper sulphate formula CuSO4
Iron formula Fe
Any help would be really appreiciated, as it is part of my science coursework, i checked all over the internet, but i'm struggling to find out which is the correct one.

The balanced equation is:

CuSO4 + Fe (gives) FeSO4 + Cu

The ionic equation is:

Cu2+ + Fe (gives) Fe2+ + Cu

Assuming you have CuSO4 in water the approprate half equations will be;

Fe(solid) > Fe3+ + 3e
Cu2+ + 2e > Cu(solid)
giving
2Fe + 3Cu2+ > 2Fe3+ + 3Cu the sulfate ions can be left out as they are spectator ions.
