Why has the politics/government section been taken over by idiots?

I was just reading through the questions and someone asked, Who is more atracttive, republicans or democrats? Seriously ?! Who are these people? Why arent there any intelligent original questions? Its all Bush, Iraq, Republicans. Could all the closed minded americans please come up with something better? No offense intended to any other americans

There are two zoos here, for your viewing pleasure:

In the political forums, we have an assortment of monkeys, asses and rats, and in the religious forum we have the varieties of homo-sapiens including back-stabbers, evengelists and scripture thumpers.

Well, I do the "show me another question" and often end up here and I don't know why that is...it just is. The topic seems to bring out the best and the worst. I rarely answer because I don't know or want to know a lot about all these religious belief and bible quoter's and myriad interpretations. Even Beavis and Butt Head are here to prove my point...but those two can make me chuckle. Idiots maybe but not hateful or absolute. Sorry....

I agree with you. Fot the most part, this site is used to vent and rage against the system. If the IQ of most of these people ever reaches 40, they should sell. Some are funny, but most of them are a waste of time to even read. Intelliegent debate seems to be a lost art where this part of Q & A is concerned. I report every really offensive question I find. I should go thru and report some of the offensive answers as well. It is sad!

This part of Answers has literally become a battlefield. I try to weed out the questions worth answering, but they are becoming TOO few and far between.

It's sad that this area has degraded to such a point where it is only used as a mud-slinging fest, instead of an area where people can ask questions about their government & laws.

It seems that there are too many who really don't want answers, or discussion. They only want to be able to vent all their anger and hatred towards others who do not think like they do, and they do it using the most insulting, crude language they can think of. It accomplishes nothing other than making the asker look foolish.

Millions of people feel disengaged from the political process.
They use the forums as a sounding board, a place where they can let off steam.
Because in the real world, nobody is listening.

The problem with people who live in Hate is that they must keep feeding their Hate. Unfortunately, a lot of people are being conditioned to Hate (Che Guevara wrote about the use of 'focused hatred' as a political tool).

Hate destroyes the ability to reason. That is why agitators foment it.

Hardly idiots, while many questions as well as their answers border on the idiotic, I believe that in general folks here have an interest in promoting the questions and answers that support their own belief system, while attacking or impugning those they disagree with.
