Sorry to hear that. However, cheer up as there is always someone worse off. Everyone I know that has lost their job ended up being a blessing in disguise. You'll find something else in time and be glad it happened. Trust me, you will go on to bigger and better things. Cheer up and try to focus on the positives. Just stay away from daytime tv, I find that's enough to depress anyone. Keep it real!

I'm sorry to hear that. It's normal to be depressed every now and then but many people suffer from chronic depression. Both my father and a close friend of mine suffer from depression. There are medications that can help if you are interested, just talk to your doctor. Medications have really helped my father become a happier person. I can't empathize w/ your depression since I am a relatively happy person. However, I suffer from Anxiety attacks, so I too have my problems. A little quote to try and cheer you up:
"Through every dark night, there's a bright day after that."

Really sorry to hear that! I suffered from depression for many years until I got treatment. You have a life event that would justify your feelings. But there will be other jobs and in no time you will feel better. I wish you all the luck in the world. Hang in there, things sometimes work out for the best!

I feel your pain brother. I lost the job I had worked at for 15 years in 2003. But I have a new job I like better.

Sorry to hear that but its natural to be down when a negative event like that happens to you. Dont dwell on something that you can do nothing about. Look to the future and you never know the next job you get could turn out to something you love and is better paying so be positive..

Were you sacked or just made redundant? If you wanna sign on it's easier to do so if it wasn't your fault you lost your job. But anyway they will be very sympathetic and you'll survive and get another job. What makes me most angry is when people judge the unemployed, I think society helps create snobbery and arrogance. Ok so yo earn more money bla bla bla, but you are rude and horrible, I'm nice. Think of it that way.

When I look to the future, I cannot be depressed. I too was terminated from my last job of over 28 years. But this too will pass.
Keep looking up. My employer went out of business. But at least I have lots of time for Answers.

I am so sorry you lost your job, I hope you find another one really soon, and I hope you are not going to be depressed for long. I am depressed because this is the month my closest Brother got shot to death over $40.00 in 1977 and every year around this time I remember him and how we lost him. =(

It can be very daunting sometimes.I believe that everything that happens to us makes us stronger.Try to think positively of what's achievable for you and don't dwell too much on the present or past. This turn in events just means that it's a stepping stone to something better for you.Good luck.
