anyone please help me!0ur class is debating for our lesson but i suck at debating...please help

Once you pick your side of the argument, try to think of the things your opponents will say. Then come up with logical, evidence based arguments to counter their statements. You can make your arguments sound much stronger if you can back it up with, "Several studies by the United Nations committe on....... have found...." That sounds better than "It is well documented that...." Also think of the agendas your sources have. If you are aguing about gun control for example, the NRA isnt exactly an unbiased source. They will ALWAYS publish stattistics that help their agenda. Go for stats done by the FBI or Dept of Justice. Your argument does not have to be terribly strong if you can pick the other person's argument apart. Plus it's a lot more fun that way.

depends on what the debate is about in a way its like an argument but without the shouting etc but for things to debate on should uk police carry guns should smoking be banned altogether then think of the good and the bad points also why they are good and why they are bad which do you want to defend eg i think it should be banned then give reasons such as the dangers of smoking
