Please no stupid answers I'm really fretting about this. Im 17 and I'm coming to the closing stages of puberty and my penis is just under 5 inches erect. How can this be when My mother has quite big breasts and from what I can tell you from accidently walking in on him, my father has quite a large penis aswell?

I dont think you get the question. Im not bothered about the size of my penis, I was just ondering why My penis isnt bigger as I thought it was all to do with genetics and with my mother having big breasts and my father having a big penis I thought I would be hung like an elephant. Why am I not?

Ive got no brothers. I think my maternal grandfather has got a big penis as I can tell by the bulge in pants.

Look, don't worry about it! Everybody is different. I wouldn't say that 5 inches is too small anyway. Worrying about it isn't going to help.
Guys always worry about the size of their penises, well - they shouldn't ! It's not the size, it's what you can do with it that really matters! You'll learn! ;-)

Unless you have seen your father's or grandfather's penis erect, you cannot know how big they are. Your dad probably has different shoe size to you and different body shape. So what if he has got an enormous penis.
Your mothers breast size has nothing to do with your penis size either.
Five inches is average size so you are not small. This certainly is nothing to fret about. Just accept what nature has given you and enjoy it. Girls are more concerned with a sense of humour and a nice personality than the size of your penis.

I was tempted to say that you don't have a large penis because you have a small one, but because you say "no stupid answers" I wont. You probably saw your dad's penis when it was "up" and remember also when you are looking on it frontally it always looks bigger that when you are looking down at it.
At 17 it can still be growing also and frankly I don't think that 5 inches is too small. Ask your girlfriend for an honest answer. They say it is not the size of the gun but the effect of the bullet.

Hi if size doesn't bother you and your concerns are all about genetics, you really need to stop thinking about it as you may never know the answer, as I'm sure surveys of this nature were not done centuries ago as people weren't as open about these matters as what we are now . At the moment there is not a problem with the size of your penis, but if you continue to ponder about this you will have a problem, as in your mental state when it comes to performing may make you impotent, or if you start off OK then start thinking wither your big enough during the act this my make you loose confidence and reduce in size. As yet your problem is not a physical one but a mental one. You need to talk to your penis and tell it how big and strong it is, play with it, visualise being with someone and tell it that you are proud and you love it, masturbate it helps you control your performance. You need to keep telling your penis positive thoughts so that all the negative ones will diminish, this is not about you being a sex god, but a confident lover, or about other people giving you confidence, it's about you having confidence in yourself. You are young and have years ahead of you to develop stratagies, stop concerning yourself with this pointless thought,be happy.enjoy and always be safe or the size of your penis won't matter.

i dont know if ull find a logical reason for it. Basically, you get given a penis and you have to use it to the best fo your ability in life. maybe ull grow an extra inch? How thick are you? that makes a difference.
Can you ask your dad how big he was at your age? or is that going to be totally wierd? what about any brothers? they hung? and your grandfather on your mothers' side? maybe theres small penises thru that side of the family?

5 inches is not bad at all - in Japan 3.7 is average! The size of your mother's boobs is not related to the size your penis will be - they are about as relevant as how clean your neighbour's teeth are to the size of our penis. Breast size if affected by hormones like oestrogen and progesterone while penis development is linked to testosterone.
The size and shape of your penis is determined by hundreds of factors. A very complex combination of dozens of genes for a start, what you eat, what you drink, hormone levels in your drinking water, radiation levels, how much exercise you get...
Basically think of it this way - are your feet the exact average of your parent's shoe size, is your hair exactly like theirs, is your nose the exact same shape, your waist the same thickness and are you the exact middle of their heights? Probably not half of these. DNA is so complex that it takes hours to explain the basic principles of genotypes, phenotypes, co-dominance etc.
I would just be happy with what you have and accept it as pretty good.

How do you know your dad has a big penis, I presume you have only seen him flaccid?
What you see when it is flaccid bares no relation to what it will be like hard. Some guys show and some guys grow. He could be 5 inches soft and only grow to 6 inches when he's hard.

It really doesnt matter.. making love has a lot more to it that penetration young man. Dont worry, did you know some women have mastered the art of the big O..without penetration, some even without physical contact !! you need to find yourself a good woman who will make you feel good about yourself, size DOES NOT matter. Love does.
