is it true that viagra works for only about a year ?

The very worst thing about Viagra is that it dramatically lowers the blood pressure. People who already have low blood pressure, or people who use vaso-dilators, like nitro glycerine, should never take it. Nitro is used when people experience chest pain. It comes in small tablets and is placed under the tongue. It causes the veins and arteries to expand to help bring blood to the heart and stop the pain. If someone who uses nitro took Viagra then experienced chest pain (which could possilby happen during sex), he would not be able to take nitro. Imagine having chest pain and not being able to stop it? If he took nitro and Viagra, his veins and arteries would open so widely the heart wouldn't be able to pump hard enough to move blood through them. He probably couldn't get to a hospital fast enough. The result... DEATH.

Of course, there are still those me who think Viagra is a 'try me' drug. They'll take it without being under a doctor's care. Sometimes those men find out they had underlying problems with their blood pressure... right in the middle of...

I've never heard anything about Viagra only working for a year. I've seen plenty of patient who've been using it for at least 8.

Viagra can cause hypertension (high blood pressure) and glaucoma (high pressure of the eyes, a leading cause of blindness.)

Try to avoid it at all possible. Find some mind exercises like self talk and meditation. Also make sure your partner provides plenty of foreplay. Take a warm bath together. Watch each other explore your bodies. Give a massage.

Good luck !!

The most common is an erection that lasts too long. Second most common, I guess, is heart attacks on older individuals. I've never heard that viagra only works on a person for a year.

Viagra effects:
Less commonly, bluish vision, blurred vision, or sensitivity to light may briefly occur.
In rare instances, men taking PDE5 inhibitors (oral erectile dysfunction medicines, including VIAGRA) reported a sudden decrease or loss of vision. It is not possible to determine whether these events are related directly to these medicines or to other factors. If you experience sudden decrease or loss of vision, stop taking PDE5 inhibitors, including VIAGRA, and call a doctor right away.
Although erections lasting for more than 4 hours may occur rarely with all ED treatments in this drug class, to avoid long-term injuries, it is important to seek immediate medical help.
If you are older than age 65, or have serious liver or kidney problems, your doctor may start you at the lowest dose (25 mg) of VIAGRA. If you are taking protease inhibitors, such as for the treatment of HIV, your doctor may recommend a 25-mg dose and may limit you to a maximum single dose of 25 mg of VIAGRA in a 48-hour period.
