Yes, I've got some great deals on different stuff(clothes,shoes,handbags,makeup,jewelry..etc.) I've been lucky and haven't had any problems. Just make sure you buy from someone with good feedback from customers. I think it can be safe if you do some research on the seller. My Dad, however wasn't so lucky and lost $2000 in a transaction. He paid by Money order. Don't ever pay by money order or western union. Signup for Paypal.

I got 3 books for under 15 bucks - each book sold at retail about 9 bucks - one was even hardcover!
I just make sure I know how much the shipping is, and then compare it to the normal cost plus the convenience of having it mailed to my door.
Just be very aware of what's going on and you'll be fine!
(I don't bid - it's "Buy it Now" or nothing.)
