i know its cold but i said id put up with cold for sake of fashion but then it was icy out and due to my footwears lake of grip i slipped and split the back of my head open should i give them up?

Wear them when its cold (i do)
NOT when its icy
Theres loads more shoes to wear when its icy such as uggs..
Don't give them up though

It most certainly is ok to wear them in winter but not on icy days then you need your wellies with good grip. Hope your head is ok

duh.....
It is OK to dress for fashion rather than function provided you aren't risking life and limb. If it is icy wear practical shoes. If you must wear pretty shoes that are inappropriate for the weather then take them along and change.
When you are my age (38) things start making sense, sort of....

i always wear pumps in the winter (except when its raining!)
to give them grip, rub the bottom of them with coarse sandpaper!
oh and i dont wear them for the sake of fashion...i just love pretty pumps!
If its snowing though...get yer boots on!

Just don't wear them when its icy or wet. Your feet will get soaked and your pumps will start to smell...

ouch, are you ok?? i wear pumps out in summer and spring and try to avoid them in winter, BUT with school and everything then i have to, so up to you. but really you hit your head so maybe not a good idea for you-sorry babe!! xx

wear boots not silly shoes
ballet flats are ok for summer or less slippy days and good grips are a must have
