This is the Super Bowl. Every year isn't the Super Bowl overhyped?? Yes, it is.

BTW, Manning is getting so much attention cause Rex Grossman sucks!

The Super Bowl is all about the hype. What else would the media be hyping right now if it weren't for Manning and the Colts? No matter what way you look at it the Colts have a better story. They have a great man leading their team in Tony Dungy. He has gone through alot these last few years and finally made it to the Super Bowl after falling short so many times with the Bucs and now with the Colts. The same can be said for Manning... What is there to say about the Bears? They've got an inconsistent QB (great story there)... their coach is black (so is Dungy)... The only headlines of significance are of Urlacher because he is the image of this Bears team.

Not me I like the Colts, Peyton Manning and their Black Coach Tony Dungy, They deserve the hype after all they are a good team and Manning has set so many records that he can not go unnoticed, I mean how do you keep talking about Rex Grosman, this is the first season he has played in all of there games, so he's a new comer and has not done enough in his career to be hyped up. the Chicago Fans wanted Grease to replace him for the game with the Saint, so I guess the media could hype that up, put that would be point less. I really think it's because Rex is still new.
Either way Manning will be the winner of this game, people all around the world will forget about Grosman if the Bears win, Manning will always be know, like his father played for the worst team in the NFL but is still known outside of the Saints arena. Grosman the name says it all

Are you surprised? Doesn't the media always do this? Wasn't it this way when St. Louis took on a relatively "weak" New England team in SB XXXVI? Or when they played the whole "Tim Brown needs a ring before he retires" aspect in SB XXXVII?

The media is into over-doing everything, especially when it comes down to big games like this. I think some of the hype is warranted, since they do have one of the best offenses of all time. But they haven't done anything yet. The only reason they the hype is that they're the "sexy" pick to win it. Personally, I don't really care, but I think, just like in the 2 Super Bowls mentioned above, the defense will win.

Bears, 24-20.

The media did the same for the Ohio State Buckeyes prior to the National Championship game. Everyone thought it was going to be a cakewalk for OSU. Troy Smith this and Troy Smith that. This only pumped up the Florida Gators and made them more hungry. Dont crown Manning the king before the biggest game of his career. Let the game be played and then we'll see if he is the SuperBowl MVP or just the MVP of making a bunch of commercials.

No no....go ahead and crown Manning. The Colts are who we thought they were. If you want to crown him, crown him! But they are who we thought they were, and the Bears will let them off the hook.

How could you be tired of overhyging Peyton Manning? He is a very classy role model to young players everywhere. I agree you must be from Chicago because they don't praise their QB they run him into the ground. He better win or be ready to move. The Bears already have him as their scape goat. Maybe he can move in with Steve Bartman.

Also couldn't this Chicago Bears team come up with their OWN Super Bowl Shuffle??????

The media has two weeks to fill. If the Patriots were here, they'd be talking about Tom Brady's legacy, wondering if they could beat the 70s Steelers, etc. If the Saints were here, they'd be talking about the hurricane. Heaven help us if the Giants were playing the Colts.

You must not live in Chicago. We get NO Colts news and I'm sick and tired of blue and orange and "Super Bears" and that %$#%%^# annoying super bowl shuffle shoved at me every time I go to check the weather.
Stop whining. Its the Super Bowl. Its geography.
Go Colts!!
