Dude, just get the new firefox at www.mozilla.com. Thats what I did.

Sounds like you have insufficient memory for the tasks you are doing. Maybe you have lots of programs running at once, or other applications running in the system tray. Upgrading your RAM may help, these days 512Mb is the minimum you should want to have. Another thing that may help is to close the applications in the system tray (bottom right of desktop) and to take your time when browsing. Rushing can also cause your system to freeze, especially if you're using a low spec PC.

Which program is not responding? Press ctrl+shift+escape and see the program that is not responding. Try to reinstall that program.

boot it up in safe mode then do a virus scan.
www.computing.net is good for PC queries. You have to register
