I think the kids have the right idea -- one that would "morph" into a different one (lol)! I'm 61, a car buff for X+ years, and have owned several "this ones perfect" cars. But what i "need" is ALWAYS what constitutes perfect.
The just right pickup, something more comfortable or faster or handles
better, or brakes better or maybe "gets better fuel mileage" . ALL of the previous seem to depend on just WHERE I am along the highway trip and it's not yet night [want higher headlamps] or snowing [better traction] or raining
wiper system] or in HOT PARKING LOT [WRONG COLOR or needs better
protection for parking dings] .
you get the idea: a MG-TD one day, 66 Vette another, p/U, then station wagon,
van, fuel squeezer, and of course a 220MPH girl gettin, trooper invisible
SUPER CAR so my wife or a daughter can say: "where'd you put the keys?"

A car that I can sit in comfortably (and without pain -- because I've had several injuries -- including to my back), and that does NOT show the physical signs of being mistreated by my (now independently living) adult children.
