I was born in 1948, the year modern Israel was founded.
On my birthday (Feb. 25, 1948) the Russians overran Czechoslovakia, and later I met one of the princes, Prince Paul von Lobkowitz, who told me the stories of the horrors they inflicted on the royals. He was 18 at the time. I was in my first day of life.
