You're blaming an act of nature on a person. There is no possible way that could happen.

Those who hate New Orleans do so because they are fed unrealistic and false information through media. The media is backed by rich, Republican politicians/lobbyists who hate poverty stricken, Democratic African Americans. New Orleans' and the surrounding area was almost 70% African American, and was eat up with poverty. New Orleans had the highest rate of violent crimes out of every American city. The haters assume that if the city is rebuilt, it will fall back into the same scenario of its past, something they dread. This is why the media tries to provoke Americans to hate New Orleans. They think it is unworthy of being rebuilt because of its reputation beyond the economical benefits...its reputation of having a large population of poverty stricken criminals dependant on well fare. Katrina was the only hurricane that caused the city to have to be "rebuilt" and it was solely due to the failure of structural stability of the levee system. Otherwise, the hurricane itself would not have caused such an extreme amount of devastation. Therefore, although the area is a perfect setting for flooding, properly designed structures would alleviate the problem. The same way big important structures alleviate problems of other cities in the country. New Orleans is not different. One of the main reasons a lot of the residential areas have not been touched, much less repaired is because a lot of the homes that were for low income residents were only being leased for $100-$200 a month. There was no actual profit for the land/homeowners. The loss was more of a relief for the homeowners rather than having to rent out the house. THEY were the ones with insurance but there is absolutely no benefit to the owners to rebuild those houses. The residents of the houses were evacuated, and ended up having nothing to come back to. Its not that people are waiting around for hand-outs to rebuild their house to have something to come back to, its that the homeowners are just choosing not to re-build...and the residents complain about that.

Well if he's your Super Hero thats fine but have you ever heard of the saying that there is no man blinder than the one that can't hear.
Perhaps the Emperor''s New Clothes story would apply here.
In the beginning everyone said hat the Emporer new clothes were beautiful as he pranced down the avenue, it took but just one small boy to declare the truth, The Emporer was naked!
Fact: there was no connection between the terrorist organization of 9.11 and Iraq.
Fact: They knowingly fabricated the lie that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction to the UN and the American People.
Fact: Who tried to allow a foreign country to gain complete control over the USA's Ports without the general population knowing about it?
Fact: This whole mess was created for the Religious Agenda of an class of Republicans.
Fact: Who messed up in the power to "win the hearts and souls of the Iraqi People? Was it not "The Great One that had "failed to secure the Ancient artifacts in their Museums and protect the Publick records, and their infrostructure etc.?
Fact: Is it not HE that allows people to cross thee borders from mexico into The USA unhindered. He even goes as far as trying to start the Guest Worker Program that surely will only help increase jobs and help the Economy.
etc. etc. etc.
He has given thee another Vietnam!
Cheers to the idjiots!
P.S. He still has not helped the victims of Katrina as he had promised!!!! Shame on Mr. Bush

Well, Bush did steal the 2000 election and made the world hate us. But, obviously, he didn't make Katrina hit Louisiana or the tornadoes hit Florida. I see where you're going with this, of course. The obvious flaw in your argument is that I never heard anyone blame Bush for Hurricane Katrina; that would be absurd. (Let's just focus on Katrina for the sake of this little debate.) However, Bush and his uncaring administration completely bungled the Katrina recovery efforts. Hundreds of thousands of people are still suffering to this day, not because of Katrina itself, but the extraordinarily inept and slow response to the AFTERMATH of Katrina. As a leader, Bush (the "Decider") most certainly deserves blame.

No one can be so stupid as to think President Bush, or any President, has caused Katrina, or the Fla. tornadoes, or any other natural disaster. Maybe you should pay a bit more attention in pre-school.

No one can tell President Bush be responsible for that, but if he had signed the protocol of Kyoto and then had made the US produce less CO2 which adds to global warming, then there would have been a chance that these tornadoes had been less fierce.
As for Katrina, no one said Bush made it, but the President was to blame for not helping quickly enough.

hehe thanks for this laugh.
You have truly depicted the response of the main stream media here in the US.
You forgot to mention that Bushy also brought us:
Snow fall of biblical proportions in the Midwest
The sudden deep freeze of the west coast that wiped out this winters crops
The Iraq war, and it's current failed police action
This devastatingly failed economy which somehow has a record low unemployment rate
The Tsunami that hit Indonesia
Bush is responsible for more evil than Satan and the Anti-Christ put together......if you watch CNN and believe everything you see
oh yea he's also responsible for "the homeless"

He is really mad that things are not going well in Iraq and his brother is no longer Governor of Florida, so he unleashed his fury and made the tornadoes hit.
