There are in the U S certain stocks that can be purchased directly from the companies that issue them. There is also the option of purchasing open end mutual funds, which can be purchased directly from the mutual fund companies. Those are the two options that I am aware of that allow you to purchase stocks without going through a stock broker.

Yes. Firstly you have to register with a stockbtoker .But first check if the stock broker is registered with the local Stock exchange. Registration is probably free of charge. Once you register you can buy or sell stock.You will be charged the broker fees and all other taxes.You will get a statement from the stock broker very often.

Survey says.......yes! But instead of investing in stocks, look into mutual funds because the seem to be more profitable.
