If you have a sling, wear it

Dont lift anything over 20 pounds for at least 3 weeks

dont play football until it heals

Basically avoid lifting anything over 20 pounds for 3 weeks or playing sports. Also if they give you a sling or brace wear it. I didn't get a sling when I broke mine about 20 years ago I had to wear this thing that looked like a thick pair of suspenders. That was without a doubt a horrible month. Especially getting up in the morning.

With a collar bone fracture, you need to keep your arm in a sling and wear long sleeves if it's winter or short if it's summer but the fact is the broken bone will heal better if you keep your arm in a sling and held close to the body so that it doesn't swing about causing the bone to not heal in the right place.

dont go diving,dont exersise that involves upper body movement,wear a sling if needed,when walking dont swing your arms. lf
