I think it is still as popular as ever. I mean the scene totally took a dive, but the people who still love it, still spin it, still put out slammin' new cd's, and so on. There's a lot of younger dj's out there that won't give up, because the cops are shutting down their parties. I think you deserve way more respect for being a dj than a pop star, anyone can sing a prefabbed song, but not everyone can get on tables and get thousands of people young and old dancing there butt's off all night!

It went underground in most places, but I ended up with a nice collection of vinyl from the clubs & stores that closed down! You can finally buy a used Technics turn table for under $200! Yippee!

electronic music is more complex than ever before now... have you noticed that it is being integrated into more and more pop sounds through the alternative viaduct?

Trance is HUGE, as well as D+B... there is also EBM, IDM, Psy, etc.

D&B is still exploding - interestingly enough with acoustic/human acts interpreting the style (see link).
