I have read and heard that instead of a brazilian wax it is now possible to get a 'brazilian' laser treatment. Is this more or less painful than waxing? Is it very expensive? Is it permanent the first time or do you have to have it done more than once? How long does it take?

It takes several sessions, and during, the laser feels like someone is snapping a rubber band on you. I would say it's more painful in the short run, but once the hair is gone, it's gone. The prices vary depending on where you live, and on how nice the place is, but it is not cheap anywhere.

The difference is, laser removes the hair permanently and it costs about $3,000 for 4-6 sessions. Side effect is that you can have slighlty burn marks, rarely, but possible.
