The philosophy of this age is no different than any other age. Its ME, FIRST, LAST, AND ALWAYS. Its been that way since the Garden of Eden, and always will be that way until the individual heart is given to Jesus. He says that He will give you a new heart that He will change over time if you let Him. But YOU have to open the door, He will not just barge in. (revelation 3:20).

Every man to himself! Though I am not a Hilliary Clinton fan, I do like what she promotes.."It takes a community to raise a child". This dates back to the fifties really. Watching my own children grow up, I do not see others except for family members, getting involved in their welfare and instruction. I am a product of the 60 era and I have to admit, I felt more secure then opposed to now.

Take your pick...
There's still plenty of basic tribalism.
(My family, my country, my religion, first)
Modernism.
(A belief in progress, science and a golden technological and material future. A verson of this is the classic "American Dream")
Existential Hedonism
(From "if it feels good, do it", through to "greed is good")
Post-modernism
(a variety of shades, light and dark, for those who see the failure of optimistic modernism, and the fragmentation of truth into little personal or group splinters.)
Communism, and social idealism, has somewhat faded, (but little pockets of it can still be found. See "post-modernism, above.)
