USB means Universal Serial Port. U can see behind your pc, or somewhere around the laptopts. (only with latest machines higher than Pentium 2)
Usually now called USB 2 is more faster than USB 1.
the small portable storage device which u can connect to the USB prot is called USB storage device, and pen drive. Thumb drive is bigger than pen drive. Its like match box and available in different capacities.

USB port means Universal Service Bus Controller. It is used mainly to transfer anything from PC to mobiles, Mp3 players, etc.... Sorry i dont have an idea about thumb drive. But i suggest you for the Pen drive because u have lot of advantages with it.

USB Port is Universal Serial Port. It is used to connect to the internet. I think thumb drive and pen drive are one and the same.
