Yes I know you are all wondering why this one is called Final Fantasy VII?
Well it's because this film is a sequel to the Playstation 2 game of the same name.

But there has been one anime series and two OVAs.

the first one is called final fantasy: spirits within (a big dissappointment)
the second is final fantasy 7 : advent children. as its name suggests it is a follow up to the game and is absolutely amazing
