My Oregon Newt looks like it has leprosey?

for over a month it just sat on the rock and wasted away, then it finally got back int he water. skin and bones until I bought some Neons and the bastard feasted. so for a week it looked healthy again but what started with a small wound on its belly is now many wonds on its belly and some on its arms. what is this, what can i do?

I'm sorry your newt doesn't seem to be doing well. I have seen them in the wild but haven't had one as a pet. But i did find a web site with someone who knows a lot about the critters - and has a contact e-mail. I'd contact her and ask. It's possible that you feed your newt so much it's just shedding it's skin.
