When you say you erased it, do you mean you simply deleted the icon links to the program, or do you mean you uninstalled it?

If you uninstalled it, I'm afraid that's it. It's gone. If you simply deleted the icons from your start bar\All programs, you may be in luck. If this is the case, you'll need to do a search for the files within the program (I'm sorry, I don't use StarOffice, so I don't know the names of them), and then create new links for them.

Although I agree with the previous responses you've received with regards to downloading OpenOffice, I did a quick search and found that the last free version of StarOffice was version 5.2. There's a link below if you'd rather get that.

First off...StarOffice7 is old. StarOffice8 has been out for ages. OpenOffice has progressed well beyond what SO7 has and is free.
If StarOffice is still on your computer you can find it under c:/Program Files/Star Office (or something similar) or click -> and look for StarOffice.
From what you said, my guess is that you just deleted the shortcut icon and the program is still there.

I'd suggest you download Open Office, it's virtually identical with MS Office and absolutely free. A superb suite.

If you really want to search for StarOffice, go into start - search, then type it in; it might still be lurking on your machine somewhere.
