reason why teachers should teach using technology

It is more interesting for the students if technology as used as the teacher can do presentations etc. They will be more engaged with the work. It is also easy for teachers to share the work sheets between the students as they can be saved into a folder where everyone can access them. Video conferencing could also be used to allow schools to communicate lessons and learn new stuff that they perhaps wouldn't know if they wasn't to link to a school.
Technology is continuing to grow so everyone needs to adapt to technology and more younger people are interested in using it so teachers must be familiar with the many options that they have to make their lessons as interesting as possible.

Whether we like it or not technoloy is all around us. I have used ICT games for mental/oral starters in maths. I have produced powerpoints that engaged the children in learning and if the children are having fun they are learning without realising it. The internet is a valuable tool for research for teachers and pupils. There are some brilliant programmes for whiteboards. You can share lesson plans etc with other teachers and them with you.

Not only is technology fun for the students but the whole world is filled with it now. The kids need to learn how to incorporate it into their work and if you use it, it gives them ideas on how to use it to their advantage.
