I come from a very religious christian family and i've traveled alot to eastern and southern africa. Most of my life, i've lived in white neighbohoods and went to white schools and my chuch is white. but along the way i've made some awesome friends of different races. My sister married a black guy and im really close with his sister whose like my age. I brought her to church and everyone was like "whose that black girl with you" and I felt really disgusted. Its sad that I worship and love a God who made us all equal but our churches are still segragated, most churches are directed to one race. We have our own churches, asians have theirs, blacks, hispanics e.t.c when my sister married a black boy my parents freaked, they are not racist but they dont look at black people as their equal and every time we visit africa my family looks at the people over their like they are trash. I know their are some people who are alot worse and who hate other races with a passion. Why?

why are people still racist? thats so shallow. like if I dated a black boy my parents would think im crazy. even when I dyed my hair dark brown my parents wanted me to go back to my blonde hair because thats the epitemy of beauty..wtf. how shallow can ppl get. And alot of my christian friends are racist which really is just horrible because we christians arent supposed to be like that. My best friend who happens to be black is one of fthe kindest hearts i've ever known. I've never for a sec looked at her like she was differnt and I know she never looks at my color. If anything I admirer her because shes beautiful, inside and out I would literary switch bodies with her if I could. I dont see why people automatically hate a certain race. If we all got to know someone of a differnt race and gave room for a friendship/relationship we would all start seeing ppl for who they are and not their race

Omgosh..who Im I an idiot for being ashamed of being white. I love who i am. im just ashamed of ppl like who are in my race. thats what sickens me that their are people like you who are so narrow minded and arrogant and you walk around thinking you are the **** just because we are white. im ashamed of of my race because of ppl like you. Im happy being me and obviously if you were secure with yourself you wouldnt have to hate other races just so you could feel superior or better. Racism is just another form of counterism that people who have insecurities use to make themselves feel better. I dont tolerate racism coming from anyone..whether you are black,asian,hispanic,white..whatever. And I do understand that there are blacks who hate us and hispanics who hate so this msg is for all of yall

Just ignore them if they try and make you feel bad for choosing friends who are nice or black then they certenly arnt nice people if they keep on doing it you could distance yourself from your parents and find a church that welcomes all races without prejudice.

Did they tell how the American Indians were all attacking, killing, raping and warring each other BEFORE the " White Humans " came a long ... War and Evil - greed for power & control over others .... is a HUMAN thing no matter ones color / race ! Sadly... History classes and books conveniently LIE and BS ! You're FREE to leave America any time ...but you'll find it wasn't just America that did this , it's a Human and World - wide thing !

You shouldn't be ashamed of your race, ever. You can be ashamed of your family members' actions if they are out of line and you don't agree with them. All races have their flaws and all races have racists. That's just life. You can't change them so don't bother.

Skin color has very little to do with the type of person you are. If your family can't see that, oh well. It sounds like you & your sister grew up to be open minded and accepting so all is not lost. There's no reason to be ashamed of your skin color.

In fact, whites have been in the position of racisim too. Lots of people are quick to play the race card and guess what, not all whites are racists. I also believe white people get pushed around by other races alot. They dare not say anything because they will be deemed a racist. That has to get tiring and I'm sure resentments builds up and that turns to hate. Others just hate for the sake of hating. Personally, as long as no one tries to kill me or interfere with my life because of my race, I couldn't care less. To each his own as long as I'm safe.

My mom is white so I've seen the racism towards whites and I don't like it anymore than the crap I've had to deal with (being mixed). It's a sad part of this world. It's everywhere. As long as you do your part to not add to that hate, don't be ashamed of who you are or where you come from.

I applaud you. It is funny how someone can claim to love God, and then leave church and instantly, letting the words hate come from there mouth. Just continue to be who you are and ignore the ignorance. If people who thought there were better than everyone else was so perfect, why the need to feel superior. I don't understand people. Color means nothing unless you want to set down with your children and play with crayons for a while. LOL

well then, marry a black guy and live the black culture - let's see how long you last before you're aching to return to those white neighborhoods.

And before you trash your race, stop to think of who you owe your lifestyle to.

here's an idea, show us whites a thing or two and boycott anything invented by them - start with your computer, then your car - indoor plumbing, and just keep going.
