I want to get a sling to use with my 1 & 1/2 month old daughter. In the past with my other 2 kids I used the big bulkie kinds and hated them, I could never wear them... too bulkie & too heavy for me to wear! I was looking at the Maya slings. Anyone have any advice for picking a sling or perhaps suggestion as to which is best? I want something easy to put on and off as well as get her in and out of, something I can wear with her while I do light cleaning around the house or do things with my older children, maybe something both myself and my husband can wear and something comfortable. Any suggestions or advice?

They look as though they are very comfortable for the baby and mom both. With my last child we puchased one of those more structured baby carriers where babies legs seem to stick out and their upper body seemed squished and we hated it. This look just seems so much more natural and comfy. Good Luck.

I bought a Lucky Baby sling. It is comfortable and easy to wear. I started making and selling that type of sling. All my customers love them. My daughter who is now 10 months old still loves it. I used it all the time when she was 2 months old. Now it is mostly for outings-shopping, walking, family gatherings, etc. She is about 23 pounds and still fits comfortably. She loves it so much, now she will not sit in a shopping cart. P.S. I will be more than happy to make you a custom sling, just email me toricp3@yahoo.com! Hope this helps

truly, i'd get a sling, a mei tai, and a stroller/pram. My son spent countless his newborn time in a sling. that is totally functional for nursing interior the starting up as newborns pick to nurse only about consistently, yet they are not very sturdy at it yet and frequently unlatch. Now he's both in a mei tai or wrap plenty. both truly a style of are accessible because they're frequently worn at the front or the lower back and an older toddler can nevertheless nurse in it. yet truly, if we are on the zoo or doing significant determining to purchase or some thing and we pick a diaper bag, that is positive to have someplace to positioned that. If my husband isn't with us, I typically take the stroller alongside so as that i will positioned the bag(s) in there. And that is a accessible position to feed solids to an older toddler and frequently, my son truly prefers it in there because he's testing his new discovered independence. So, short answer, i'd say 2-3 varieties of providers and a stroller. yet when you'll get/make one ingredient, i'd use a sling.

I'm a fan of the Taylormade slings. We got the mesh water sling for a trip to the beach, but it was sturdy and comfortable enough for everyday wear. We used it all summer and through the next two years. My toddler loved it and it made soccer practice and evening activities easy! My husband is eight inches taller than I, but we got the large size and I just pulled it tighter...we could easily switch off without a lot of readjusting.
