Hmmm......music playlist for the bored 33 year old girl:

"Love Stinks" by J. Geils Band
"Heartbreaker" by Pat Benatar (her only "true" rock hit in my view).
"Barracuda" by Heart

Find some downloadable cool cute movie quote soundbytes in between some songs--shake things up, make 'em more interesting.

"Amanda" by Boston
"The Flame" by Cheap Trick
"Chain Lightning" by .38 Special
"Big Balls" by AC/DC (an ol' Bon Scott (on vocals) rock favorite).
"How You Remind Me" by Nickelback
"The Rambler" by Molly Hatchet (a surprisingly intellegent well written Southren Rock song--a far far cry from Skynyrd. It's a love song, too women dig.)

"We Will Rock You" ( a sped up fast LIVE version of the classic song, sung by Freddie Mercury, off their Queen: Live Killers!! album) by Queen (This one is a welcome break from the tired classic rock icon song).

"The Legend Of Vera Gemini" by Blue Oyster Cult (maybe it's "Ballad" instead of "Legend": hmmmmmm.....)
"Few And Far Between" by Molly Hatchet ( gawd yes--one dedicated to Larry, The Cable Guy).

Break time: I picked my bored mind at a moment's notice of songs I hope you find some to your liking. This used to be so easy when I worked in radio.

If you don't already have all of RHCP's music, try "Nobody Weird Like Me" and "My Friends" would be a couple of my suggestions.

If you do and are looking for other bands to check out: Primus (songs:"Jerry was a racecar driver","over the electric grapevine" (i think that's the title, if not, it's close...good song) hmmm...

In the punk category, depends what you call "punk" Pop punk, like AFI, Fenix TX, etc.? Maybe check out those two bands as well as Lit, Atticus, Head Automatica, The Fratellis.

Classic punk, like Sex Pistols, etc? try The Clash, NOFX, Bad Religion, Dead Kennedys, The Descendents, Pennywise. Most of those are like late 70's thru early 90's.

Originally punk was stuff like Velvet Underground and New York Dolls, etc, but you're probably not wanting stuff that far back, that's like late 60's to late 70's

If you want really off the wall music try Mindless Self Indulgence ("Planet of the Apes","Tight","Tornado" (I could go on and on about MSI, they're one of my fave current bands) Yeah Yeah Yeahs ("Art Star"), Dillinger Escape Plan(a good majority of the songs from the album "Calculating Infinity" by DEP are good, maybe listen to sample on Amazon.com first)

Guess I kinda went off on a punk tangent there, lol. Hope that helps, anyway.

note to previous poster: hard to say for sure, but I think "<33" is two hearts, not less than 33

The Smiths - This Charming Man

He's a bit of a pants singer, but the guitar is great, really makes you wanna jump up and down dancing - 80's style!

Either that, or Daft Punk - Harder Fitter Faster Stronger
That always puts me in a good mood :) (I'm not sure if it's "fitter" or "better")

Hope you like?

Ummm...what kind of music do you like? I listen to things like Bob Dylan, Against Me!, some folky stuff, the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, thats pretty old.... Check out the Mercury Program or Maserati, they're incredible, especially the Mercury Program. They're kind of indie instrumental something, but they're genius'...really. Or maybe if you're feelin really...random then listen to Hella. They're one of the sickest drum/guitar duos ever. Or if you're into Jap Math/Indie/Core then you shuold hear Melt Banana, they're an all girl band and they can really wail. Dunno what you like but those are my suggestions.
